Ortaglia - Where we stayed in Tuscany
Ortaglia, a 16th century farmhouse near Montepulciano. The farm was a working
vineyard. The house had been restored by its owner under supervision of the
government. Learn more about
Ortaglia.

Arbor where table grapes are grown. It's early spring and there are no vines
yet.

Montepulciano grape vines on trellises in the Ortaglia vineyard. The wine
produced here is called Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. A bottle of Vino Nobile di
Montepulciano, a chunk of locally produced cheese and a loaf of bread often
served as our evening meal.
